At the Library 2/16/23

At the Library
by Mia Schrock

Time just flies doesn’t it. It is already February in 2023! It feels like Christmas was only a couple
weeks ago, but here we are! There are so many exciting things going on at the library and it
seems like the weeks just fly by. It seems like February-April is the busiest time of the year.
Sometimes I just want to slow down time so I can enjoy life and be grateful for everything I have
gotten to experience. This year I am trying to enjoy the little things in life, like just getting to drive
myself to school, spending time with my family, or finishing a great book and finding another one
to read at the library.

So far this year I have read 7 books! Some of them were great and I would really recommend
them. I often find an author that I like and will read most of their other books to see if they are as
good as the first one I read. Some of my favorite authors are Colleen Hoover, Taylor Jenkins
Reid, and Jennifer Lynn Barnes. The first Colleen Hoover book I read was It Ends With Us. It is
definitely one of her more popular books, but my personal favorite is the Slammed series. The
Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is the first book I read by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I still think it
might be my favorite of her books! Some of her other books that I loved are Malibu Rising and
Carrie Soto Is Back. I have not read many of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ books, but I read her
Debutantes series and I loved it!

You can find all of these books at the library, or you can read or listen to the audiobooks on
Libby! So whether you need a book to read while enjoying the weather, or an audiobook to
listen to while cleaning, the Washington Public Library has the right book for you!
