At the Library
by Mia Schrock

Do you remember the first book you have ever read? Maybe it was one that was read to you at a young age. Maybe the earliest one you can remember was one of the first books you read by yourself, like your first chapter book. I read my first chapter book around the end of first grade. By the end of second grade, I couldn’t stop reading books. By the end of my last year at St. James Elementary School, I probably read almost half the books in the school’s library. Some of them even twice. Since then, my love for reading has only grown. I have read so many books in the last 9 months that I've worked as a page at the library, it's hard to keep track of all of them. Some of my favorite books are by Colleen Hoover. Her books have gotten quite popular over the last several months, such as my favorite book from her, It Ends With Us. I would definitely recommend it, but it is about a touchy subject. It is still a very good book because I feel it is a good way to learn about abuse in relationships. It is from Lily Bloom’s point of view, but the sequel It Starts With Us, is from Atlas’s point of view. It Starts With Us is coming out this October. I am very excited to finally be able to read it and see what happens next in Lily and Atlas’s world. I like how reading a good book can make you feel as if you are the main character. Sometimes it's almost like you can feel what the characters are feeling. But when the book comes to an end, you just want to keep reading on. That is how I feel about It Ends With Us. I just want to know what happens next, and also I think it is pretty cool to be able to read about two different people experiencing the same thing, but in their own point of view. So I would give It Ends With Us a try and see what your point of view is.
