At the Library
by Jenisa Harris

I enjoyed the cool, crisp morning as I walked to work today. The weather is starting to finally feel like fall. As fall quickly approaches many of us start to search for fun indoor activities.

The library is excited to provide fun, free early out programs for school age kids every Friday. We will offer a different program every week! Programs will range from movies to STEAM activities!

Here is our October line up:

Join us for a "Block Party", Friday, October 7th from 1:45-2:45. The library has the LEGOS, so join in on the fun! This event is free for grades K-12th. No registration required!

“Tinker Lab”, Friday, October 14th from 1:45-2:45. This event is free for grades

K-12th. Enjoy hands-on activities including experiments, art and ideas to tinker with! No registration required!

“Movie Madness”, Friday, October 21st from 1:45-3:15. We will be watching a popular kids movie. Check the library’s website to see what this month’s movie is! Movie Madness is free for grades K-12th. No registration required!

The library is thrilled to have 10 copies available for check out of the 2022 Kids All Iowa Reads book “The Lonely Heart of Maybelle Lane” by Kate O’Shaughnessy.  Read the book and join us for a book talk and participate in some fun activities experimenting with sound on Tuesday, November 1st from 4:00-4:45. This event is free for grades 2nd-5th.
