At the Library

The staff at the Washington Public Library has continued to be hard at work providing a wide range of programming for our patrons and community members. I will touch on some of the upcoming events in May but first I want to brag about our events calendar that you can find on our website.

When you go to our website you will see the Upcoming Programs & Events on the left side of the page. You will see a few of the events listed but you can click “See full calendar” to view the whole month. This feature is very helpful for patrons, making it easier to see everything at once and be able to plan ahead.

If you click on a specific event, you have access to a description of it and the registration form, if it is required. Registering ahead is important for those events that have a limited number of spots available. Our staff plans carefully to have all the supplies needed for programs, never wanting to be caught short.

As for some of the May events, our ongoing programs include the Happy Ukulele Group with Clyde Pearce, Thursday @ Noon concerts, Gallery Talk with Carol Ray, Classic Cinema, four book clubs and our newest ongoing program is the Genealogy Workshop.

The library is a hub for entertainment, education, and most importantly, community. Please visit us to find out what all of the excitement is about.
