At the Library
by Jolisa Weidner

By the time this article reaches the journal, Thanksgiving will have been celebrated, and we will be busy getting ready for the next holiday. I have thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful fall we experienced this year. So many gorgeous days, with beautiful trees that lasted well into the season.  I think it was the perfect time for our new director to move to Iowa from Texas.  As the days get colder, and the first snow blankets the ground, it may be a different story. But with a staff who has lived through many Iowa winters, we will be here to see here through it.

If you find yourself out in the cold, and need a place to get warm, the staff welcomes you to stop by the library even if you are not checking out materials. This time of the year gets hectic for us all, and we need a space to warm up, slow down, and enjoy some quiet. Our front windows offer a beautiful view of Central Park. You can hear the gentle chiming of our grandfather clock.

Come in and read our newspapers or a book, knit, do a crossword puzzle, or just sit and relax. Whatever brings you peace, we will have a chair waiting for you.
