As Christmas quickly approaches, all of us are gearing up for cozying up by the fire and starting to read classic Christmas tales. Here at the library, we have many books about Christmas for children, and we also have adult fiction with many Christmas titles! Here are a few of the festive titles just waiting for you to discover here at the library!

On the adult fiction bookshelves, try picking up this inspiring read by Donna VanLiere. The title is The Christmas Town. In this relatively short read, you will discover characters that will warm your heart with the Christmas spirit. It is an inspiring and a quaint fiction book. Some praise for this author and her similar novels include:

“Sweet and emotional…A perfect holiday gift” - BookReporter.com

“A magical story of second chances that will stay with readers long after the ornaments have been put away.” - USA Today

Another great choice for Christmas adult fiction if you’re looking for a winter novel instead of just Christmas, is The Secret of Snow by Viola Shipman. This novel has themes of romance and powerful themes of making peace with who you used to be and who you’re becoming.

Praise for this title:

"A beautifully written story about second chances. Fans of women's fiction won't be able to put this down." - Publishers Weekly

This novel will keep you wanting to read on for as long as possible and you will fall in love with these easily likable characters.

Finally, for children, you can’t go wrong with A Charlie Brown Christmas book, which can be found in the Easy children’s bins here at the library. This warm and classic book will remind you of the simpler times of your childhood and is perfect for Christmas reading next to the fire!

As the weather gets chillier and we look for excuses to stay indoors, these books and many more like them will be your best friends throughout the season. Stay warm out there folks!
