“Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness.” Anni Albers

We need your help to breathe new life and happiness into our used book store!  Our mural contest is open to 6th-12th grade students.  Sketches are due to the library by September 1st.  We would like the theme of the mural to be library or book themed.  The winning artist will get to work with Brandi Glaspie to make their sketch come to life and perfect their idea.  Brandi will teach the winning artist how to make their mural go from a small sketch to a life size mural!  The winning artist and the library’s Teen Advisory Board will work together to paint the mural. We can’t wait to see what creative ideas you have.  We are so thankful to the Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation and Walmart for the grants for this project.  Without their generous support we wouldn’t have been able to give Rebook  new life!  If you have any questions about the mural contest you can contact the library at 653-2726.
