Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet access

Free wireless Internet access is available at the Washington Public Library

You will need a notebook/laptop computer or other wireless device with 802.11b or 802.11g wireless networking.  It is your responsibility to make sure your wireless devices are equipped to handle wireless Internet.

Certain parts of the library may have limited wireless reception.  If reception is limited or sporadic, feel free to move to a more accessible location within the library.

By choosing to use this free service, you are agreeing to abide by the Library’s Internet Use Policy.

Library staff is not able to provide technical assistance and no guarantee can be made that a wireless connection will be made.

The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for notebook/laptop computer or other wireless device configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library’s wireless access.

Reminder: The Library’s wireless network is not secure.  Information sent to and from a user’s notebook/laptop computer or other wireless device may be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and the appropriate software.
